The SIP 26.26 carburettors are modified 24mm SI carburettors, the outlets of which have been enlarged to 26 mm. Together with the extended fuel drill holes the engine revs up more quickly and responds noticeably better to the throttle. The 26mm carburettors are available in a very high quality version directly from SIP (we also redesign originalDELL'ORTO carburettors) and also from SPACO, which are more favourably priced.
Conclusion: This is one of the easiest ways of getting more performance.
SIP-TIP: Use 10% bigger main jet than on the SI 24.24, otherwise the engine runs too leanly, the best idea is to order a jetting kit at the same time (part no 4026000). The float chamber spacer (part no 92270000) guarantees optimum fuel supply.
