TASS ( THANET AREA RACE TEAM -TART) SCOOTER RACING BRIEF HISTORY FROM 1986 ONWARDS -
1986 All started with us , entering in the SCOOTER TRIALS run by THE OXFORD ROAD RUNNERS on a THANET VERMIN SCOOTER CLUB ...LAMBRETTA - later we renamed to TART(s) (THANET AREA SCOOTER RACE TEAM) .

1987 We entered the FBSC /LASCA BRITISH SCOOTER RACING CHAMPIONSHIP and did it with some success on a limited budget for about 12 YEARS ON OR OFF
Completing in various classes - from GROUP 4 VESPA 200 ,GROUP 5 LAMBRETTA 150 Short stroke ,GROUP 3 LAMBRETTA 150 Short stroke ,GROUP 6 LAMBRETTA TS1230 ,GROUP 7 LAMBRETTA TS1 240/250 Chain drive outfit. .

1993 FBSC BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP We finished 5th on TASS TUNED LAMBRETTA TS1 240/250 GROUP 7 SIDECAR .

1990'S We also had a TEAM TASS /EKS SC in the SCOOTER GRASS TRACK RACING SERIES THE ON A LAMBRETTA TS1 AND 2 LAMBRETTA SIDECAR OUTFITS ... SPONSORING THE LOCAL CLUB EAST KENT SOVEREING SCOOTER CLUB ..
2015 Sprinting at THE RAMSGATE SPRINT REVIVAL on two TASS TUNED LAMBRETTAS TS1250 AND TS1230 ....Giving the
vintage bikes a run for there money ..
2017 Again back in the saddle ROAD RACING ,on board a LAMBRETTA TASS TUNED TS1 230 in the SCOOTENOLE EUROPEAN SCOOTER RACE SERIES AT MIRECOURT, FRANCE ,Finishing a respectable 8th in class.

LAMBRETTA TS1 230 .
2017 TEAM TASS Reform with old scooter racing/ralling pals from Againest all odds sc (Canterbury) John chadwick,Roy Binks ,Myself( ROGER LUCAS) and Rob Clark ,we entered THE MAGNY COURS 10 HOUR ENDURANCE RACE in France , First time for us (and a 25 + year gap from racing for roy and john) we had an eventful race and finished 42ND out of 52 - Trophy for BEST LAMBRETTA

2018 TEAM TASS MYSELF ,JOHN,ROY AT FRANCE MAGNY COURS 10 HOUR ENDURANCE RACE
we had a good race keeping up with the leaders in our class, until we crash about 5 hours in , Smashing the handlebars and the exhaust off, 40 minutes in the pits for a repair ,Were Out again ,until another crash in the wet , followed by a tyre change to wets which put us out of the trophys ,we finish a respectable 30TH out of 52 . To our surprize another Trophy for BEST LAMBRETTA
2019 TEAM TASS THE RACE STORY CONTINUES -
2019 TEESIDE 6 HOUR ENDURANCE UK ( SPONSORED BY TASS) -TEAM TASS -MYSELF ,ROY BINKS,DARREN BRUNSKILL .. Lots of rain on a kart circuit ,we get a good start up to 9TH until LAP 26 then we have techincal problems,which puts us out for about 50 minutes and then 3 crashes on a slippery circuit ,But we manged to finish 21ST
2019 MAGNY COURS 10 HOUR ENDURANCE RACE FRANCE MAGNY COURS
TEAM TASS - MYSELF ,ROY BINKS,JOHN CHADWICK - PIT CREW CHRIS,CAROL AND NEVE
Yet more rain ,but our BEST RACE TO DATE ,10 HOURS of thrashing our TASS TUNED LAMBRETTA TS1 230 ,it was slippery as hell ,strong race for us and our ultra reliable Lambretta .. not one problem ... We finish 7TH in class and 19TH OVERALL out of 52
TEESSIDE 6 HOUR ENDURANCE RACE 2020
RIDERS ROGER LUCAS ,JOHN CHADWICK ,ROY BINKS, CHRIS CLEGG.
Excellent race for us finishing 6th in class 8TH overall , and again not a single problem in 6 hours of thrashing our TASS TUNED LAMBRETTA
2021 WHILTON MILL 6HOUR ENDURANCE RACE
We finished 4th in Race class and 7 th overall despite 2 crashes
