The MHR cylinder range is aimed at the advanced tuner who wants to get the most out of his engine. A corresponding knowledge of the complex thermodynamic and mechanical processes in the engine is tacitly assumed here. A nice feature is the screw-on exhaust flange. This allows a further reworking of the exhaust port which can greatly increase the performance of the cylinder. Malossi states the achievable power at delivery with 21-28PS.

MALOSSI 178 MHR ALUMINIUM CYLINDER KIT - LARGE FRAME VESPA 125-150 WITH 3 PORT CRANKCASE . The aluminium Malossi MHR (Racing) series finally arrives on the Vespa PX125-150 (also LML Star 125 2t) motors, with the all new 178cc/187cc cylinder kits, featuring nickel-chromium plated aluminium cylinder with a bridged exhaust port, 7 enlarged transfer ports, and a steel screw in exhaust stub, a very advanced light weight 63mm single ring piston, and the very lastest design of cylinder head for optimal cooling, running a 1:12.5 compression ratio. This one will sure be a real performer, as Malossi are quoting power figures of 21 to 28 bhp depending on the final set up. This is the 178cc version (Malossi part number 3117163) and is only for use with standard 57mm stroke crankshafts. Warning:the use of a fast flow fuel tap (VE13092) with increased capacity is absolutely necessary.
